Grandma & Aunt Marilyn Come For a Visit

Last week Josh's Grandma and Great Aunt Marilyn came for a visit. They were doing Grandma's noraml whorl wind tour of the east coast... Us then to Jacksonville to see Jennie and all the Halls, then to Atl to see the rest of the Roon crew. They did change it up a bit thought this time first they went to DC to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom and then they came to us. We had such a great time with them and Reilly just loved spending time with "Nima" and "Mer". We went and had hibachi the first night they were here. It was so good and reilly loved watching the Chef cook in front of us; although he got pretty freaked out when he did the big fire. On saturday we went to the VA aquarium at the beach. What a blast!!! it was so much fun watching him run around and he justed LOVED the turtles!! couldn't get enough. Sunday we had the fam over for dinner and then Monday we watched josh's volleyball game. It was a very fun filled weekend. As soon as they left, reilly kept asking for "Nima". He loves her so!!

Opening Day at Bush Gardens

So we have gotten passes for Bush Gardens for this summer and on Sunday they had a preview day for pass holders. We had such a blast as a family. Reilly got to ride his first ride with me and second with Josh. Reilly had a good time but both Josh and I thought we were going to be sick after...those darn round and round rides. In a few weeks the Sesame Street section will open up and Reilly will have even more fun. They had Elmo and some of the other characters out and he got SOOO excited saying "Hi...Hi...Hi...ELMO!! WE are really looking forward to spend lots of time up there. Oh, and yes josh and i did get to ride adult rides. I did my favorite Lochness and Josh did the new Griffon. It was AWESOME!!!

So it has been a while... sorry Charity, here is some lunch reading for you.

Here's some long awaited updating.

Back at Christmas the Halls, Josh's sister Jennie, her husband Jeff and their 4 kids Brooke, Bryce, Brynleigh, and Ben, came into town for a long weekend to celebrate. We had a fun visit with them, way to fast, but it was so great to hang out with them for even just a few days!!! We all went to Lynnhaven Mall and did some last minute shopping then all the kids loved playing in the AWESOME play area. That evening we had Christmas at Kai's with the whole family. The next day we just hung out and spent time together. It was way to short a visit and I just am so thankful for having such a great family.

Our Marine Comes Home!!!

So as most of you know my big brother has been in Iraq for the last 7 months. The Tuesday before thanksgiving he came home. It is so great to have him back and enjoying family time. He and Reilly have become fast friends and Uncle Chris, "Unc" as Reilly calls him, has been showing him new and amazing things. Uncle Chris has been doing a lot of babysitting and he is so good at it!!! we are so glad to have him home safe and sound!!!

The start of the holidays!

sorry it has been a while i feel like we have been running around with our heads cut off. I have been decorating, shopping, cleaning and just christmasing it up and I feel like i have been running myself ragged. So, when I was talking to Josh's Aunt Roxanne the other day and she really had me stop and remember the it is not the decorating, shopping for people, the cleaning, and the craziness that we should get caught up in. Jesus is it!!! I have to stop and remind myself of that when i feel like i am going crazy. It is He who is celebrated this time of year. Not that Jesus shouldn't be celebrated all year, but now we get to share Him even more with others. so this Christmas season just remember the Reason!! He IS the reason for the season.

Reilly's Birthday Party

Last Saturday we had our big man's 1st birthday party. We had a blast!! and so did Reilly. We totally went over the top for a first birthday and had all our friends and family there, so we had like 50 adults and 10 kids. It was great! Of course we had a theme...what else but Georgia Football. there is the slideshow of all the pictures my friend Melanie took on the side here so enjoy. I still have to get pictures from my mom's camera. so there are more!

Reilly's 1st Year

So Monday the 10th, marked a year since our beautiful little man was born. I am really starting to feel very nostalgic and just wanting to spend as much time with Reilly while he is still a "baby", even though he is closer to a toddler now. God has just been so good to us this year. As most of you know i did not go back to work after Reilly was born and The Lord has still provided for us. We, like all, have felt the effects form the Market crash but have still been able to stay afloat and i have been able to spend such a wonderful year with my little man. He really is such a joy in Josh's and my life. We look at him and he just smiles back at us and he melts us all over again. He is really starting to walk and talk and show us his sweet personality. He knows want he wants and is not afraid to let us know how he feels. I just can't believe how fast it has gone. everyone says it goes fast and i didn't believe them, but now all i want is for him just to stay a baby. Today i went and got him out of his crib and he just laid his head on my shoulder and just loved on mommy. what more could a parent ask for. I hope that this next year will be just a amazing, challenging, and fruitful. I thank the Lord everyday for the time i get to spend with both of my men. I wasn't too sure about being the mother of a boy at first when we found out...but being the mother of a little man is just the most amazing, wonderful gift God could have ever given me.

Please enjoy reminiscing over the last year with us. Sorry that there are so many pictures...I couldn't decide on just one per month.

How Life changes in a year!!!!

I have to say, we are not the best parents when it comes to doing fun traditional stuff with Reilly, but we like halloween...well we like pumpkins and the carving part. Josh and I do it every year, well, last year we didn't carve I was way to prego, check out the pics. So we decided this year to keep things going and had a blast picking out the pumpkins and carving with Baby Reilly. He had such a blast. I can't wait to show these pics to him when he gets bigger!!

George Phillips Garrett has arrived!!!

So most of you all know that my best friend Brooke Garrett and her husband Brent have been expecting the arrival of their son and well last week September 24 at 8:09 pm weighing in at 6lbs 11 oz and 18 1/2 inches long, George Phillips Garrett came into the world. I have been able to see him briefly and he is a tiny little gem of a baby. Brooke and Brent are doing right and spending the first week with just them and baby. I am so excited for them and can't wait to spend more time with baby George!!

Josh turn's 31!!!

So we went down to Southern Shores, NC, just south of Duck, to my parents beach house this past weekend with the Carey's to celebrate Josh's 31st birthday. We had so much fun. We relaxed, watched football, went to the Wright Memorial, took care of babies, and ate. Josh got some great stuff. Reilly gave his daddy a new black Knowshawn Marino Jersey for reilly to wear, daddy already has some, and Reilly needed something the help cheer on the Dawgs with daddy. Josh also got UGA redneck golf, as Jeff Hall calls it, to play with friends. And his big surprise gift was I made him a cake. Not just any cake, but a Georgia G cake. I got a G cake pan that can be used for just about anything. He loved it. I have to say he was not a totally happy camper b/c the Dawgs lost big time to Alabama and those of you who know my husband know that he is not happy when they loose.

i don't have any pictures of the weekend because after we went to the beach saturday morning my camera battery died and i had no charger. so we used t Carey's camera and i haven't gotten those pics yet. I will post those when i get them.

I have also posted some videos of Reilly and Papa, and Reilly really crawling around!!!

So i have been a slacker and have not put updates on here about our little guy in a while, sorry! So here's what's new with him...he is "dead man" crawling, pulling himself up in his crib (sitting and standing) and he is eating real food...no more baby food! Reilly is turning out to be a very sweet, shy, and mama's boy when we are in public but he is getting very active and always wanting to be going. He is very smiley and so happy. enjoy the pics and videos!!!

So over the last few weeks, just like lots of you, we have been watching the Olympics day and night. tonight is the last night and Josh said to me today "what are we going to watch now?" well i have to say i am going to be pretty sad. I have really gotten into it and have really learned a lot about about many different sports. I never new that i would be into the Cycling or Rowing. I never knew there was such a sport as Trampolining, that was a new one for me, and i just really loved all of it. What a great example of true and good competition. It is so great to see that even in times of war and I am so proud of all the athletes and what China has achieved.

A Romantic Getaway!

So last weekend Josh and I took a much needed getaway to Williamsburg, Va without our little boy. (He spent the weekend with Gran and Porge.) We missed him but had a great time just being the two of us again, even if it was just for a bit. We stayed at the beautiful Williamsburg White House B & B that was amazing. The Jefferson Room was so beautifully decorated and very cozy. Williamsburg and Jamestown were so much fun and very romantic. It is amazing t0 think that here we are with the oldest history of our country right in our backyard and we never go there. I guess it is the age old tale of you're never a tourist in your own area. We had a blast and can't wait to do it again.

Our favorite place, and our last stop, was the Glasshouse!! The Virginia Company was trying to make money any way they could by industrializing, so they brought over glass artisans from Germany and Poland in 1608. Needless to say it didn't work and the artists didn't get along with each other or the English. The Virginia Company tried again in 1622 with Italian glassblowers but again the attempt to industrialize with glass failed. In 1954 they found remnants of the glass house and now years later modern day glassblowers dressed in colonial garb blow

I think we could have stayed there watching them all day. It was hot but so peaceful and awesome watching them make the glass!

Clark David Carey Has Arrived!!

Clark David Carey was born Wednesday, July 16 at 12:56pm. He was a big boy at 8lbs and 12 oz and 20 inches long. Josh and I were able to go to the hospital yesterday and everyone looks great, tired but great. Clark is so cute and a good mix of both of his parents. enjoy the pics!!

So this is our friend Allyson. She is due July 25, but she is getting a C section on Wednesday b/c baby boy is breech. I just love this picture of her, she looks so gorgeous!!

I am so excited for Allyson and Chris becoming parents. They have been such great friends to Josh and I and i just want to say congratulations to them on the upcoming birth of their little baby!! They have such a strong heart for the Lord and are guided by his mercy and strength. They walk side by side with each other and this time will be no different. Their little baby has really chosen the right parents!

The picture below i just ran across today and was taken only a few weeks after they got engaged. What a beautiful couple!!

For the last month Reilly and I have been going to the Y for swim lessons for him. He has learned so much. I know that sounds crazy...but he has learned how to moves his arms and legs more. He just LOVES it. Yesterday Josh was able to come and take some pictures and videos.

The Last Few Weeks...

So Here is our lives over the past month. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get this published. I have been having issues with the videos. Yea, I didn't realize that videos could only be super small. And, I mean, what parent takes a small video of their kid. So I am going to try to work around this issue. I am super frustrated though. But don't worry I am seeking help through an amazing Doctor. His name is Reilly Wynne and he is the cutest little guy around. I must run he is talken to me through the moniter....Enjoy the pics!!!!

Baby Reilly Explores the Beach

So last Sunday, May 30, we were at some friends of my folks, Randi and Glen, who live on the Chespeake Bay in Ocean Veiw. Now Reilly has been to the beach in Miami when he was 3 weeks old but he really got to explore the sand and just loved the waves . The last two pictures here are when he was just studying the little Bay waves.

My Big Bro in Iraq

So that is my big brother on the left. He is serving his 3rd tour for the Marines 2nd time in Iraq. He is company commander and is in charge of...well as he puts it..."I work 16 hours a day, relax for 1-2 and sleep for 6 or less on average. i have about 5 1/2 more months of that. I have 4 Battalion Commanders, 1 Regimental Commander, and numerous other folks in both the US and Iraq who require updates. I have 200 Marines and 10K Iraqi Civilians I look after, 3 Iraqi Security Force Units to partner with, Sheiks to deal with, local government to create from scratch, essential services to provide or get built, the local economy to kick start, and my sanity to maintain. "

He has been over there since April. And i have to say i miss him terribly. But pictures like this where i can see his face makes me feel better and closer to him.

i have not been a very good sister and have not written, the old fashion way, yet but i am in the procces. who knew that hand writing a letter could take so long.

But am a very proud of my brother. He is brave, strong and the smartest guy i know.

1st day on "The Blogger"

Well i have tried this a number of times but...it always seems to fall through the cracks. I have been telling my wonderful husband that i need a creative outlet and well i think that this might be it for now. I would like to say, for my opening blog spot, that i am a so so writer and an even worse speller, and my typing isn't that great either. So i hope i don't bore, stupify, or lose any of you.

To start this my be a short one my watch just went off which means baby reilly might be getting up soon.

Life here in the Wynne home is a pretty typical american life...mom at home with baby while dad goes out and brings home the bacon, and what a great job he does. I have to tell you all that i am so proud of my man...he is so wonderfull and helps so much...Even at 2 am the other night with our teething baby. How did i get so lucky?? and speaking of lucky...I know that everyone thinks that have the cutest baby..but we really do.

We were in Lowes the other night getting supplies to fix up Josh's town house to sell, and this old couple comes up and start talking to baby reilly:

"oh what a cute baby...hello baby, you are a handsome little guy...." and so on for like 5 min

and right on cue...Reilly flashes his big old smile and melts them.

a little while later we saw them out in the parking lot and the man starts talking to him again and again right on cue reilly flashes him his pearly gummy smile... and the man says...

"Yup will take one of you."

now not the best story on it's own but it happens all the time. I mean how can a mother not be proud?!?!
